What a Difference a Year Makes
Updated: Dec 29, 2022
1 Hour watercolour - Walter Peak from Queenstown Hill. Prints available.
My hip injury has finally let me out to play so I made it up Queenstown Hill. My first hike in six weeks!
It turned out to be a bit of a pilgrimage because almost a year ago to the day I was walking up Queenstown Hill as my first ever solo hike, just having arrived in town. Covid was still very much in full swing. I had no idea where I'd live in a week's time, let alone a year. I only knew two people and I was pretty bloomin scared about the future. Looking back I feel like a completely different person. I've packed my time with as many adventures as physically possible. Seen more of NZ than I dreamt I ever would. Survived having my life turned upside down and came out the other side with a smile on my face. My visa just confirmed until Nov, I've found a cosy new apartment and I'm revving up for a SECOND ski season with all my new chums. What a difference a year makes 😊
30 min speed paint capturing the most still I've seen Wakatipu. Prints available.
Thanks for reading! All my artwork is available as prints/mugs/posters etc.
